The Idaho Drowning Prevention Coalition was initiated in the spring of 2021 to fill a void in Idaho in the field of water safety and drowning prevention.

Strategic Goals
Utilizing the website as a resource
Educating the community such as firefighters in school classrooms, distributing the newsletter, sharing information during child’s wellness check, promoting PSAs, and getting wraps on buses and/or ambulances.
Bringing drowning prevention parties together to work towards the common mission.
Annual Objectives
Early September, bi-annual newsletter distribution that will include statistical data, volunteerism, how to donate - supporting the cause, and upcoming community education.
Starting in September, create drowning prevention curriculum for firefighters who will be educating children in school classrooms.
Early April, bi-annual newsletter distribution that will include Water Safety Month in May and an education article
